Manage Visual Studio Performance – Hide Source Control Explorer and Immediate windows at startup – Visual Studio 2017

Speed up visual studio 2017 startup

Finally we got option to manage performance for Visual Studio in 2017 version. You can see it from help menu.

Visual Studio Help

Here are options to manage performance.

Visual Studio Help Modal

It says that, if you set it to Use Default Behavior i.e. load source control explorer at startup it might take 4 seconds to load visual studio.

Recommended option is: Do  not show window at startup. This will save up to 4 seconds on visual studio startup.

Also you can set auto hide immediate window on startup. This will also save some time and processor. It will make Visual Studio more responsive.
